Description:

Manufactured c. 1864-1865. Around 2,000 22 inch barrel carbines were manufactured as part of a contract for 5,000 rifles and carbines for Kentucky in 1865. Two small chips on the edge of the barrel band. Includes a U.S. Model 1840 Ames Cavalry sword dated "1849".
