1) U.S. Ames 1840 heavy cavalry sword, 41 1/2" OAL, 35 1/2" double fuller blade, brass guard, leather grip, iron scabbard. Sword good, scabbard fair. 2) U.S. 1860 light cavalry sword, 40 1/2" OAL, 34 1/2" blade dated 1864, brass guard, leather grip, iron scabbard. Blade polished, otherwise fair overall.
