36 inches overall, with an iron tip in a brass ferrule, wood shaft with knobby, textured surface, and a 4 1/2 inch long curved head, constructed from light horn and 800 purity silver, the latter forming a dog's head (possibly a whippet or borzoi) with glass eyes. The hallmark appears to be that of Gottlieb Kurz of Schwaebisch Gmuend. Good overall, with some age cracks in the horn and mixed patina on the dog head.
