Manufactured in 1981. Bill Jordan served with the United States Border patrol with stints away from the group to be a Marine Reservist during World War II and the Korean War. During his time with the Border Patrol, Jordan would invent the Jordan holster and convince Smith and Wesson to update their K frame revolvers to be able to fire the .357 Magnum round. This revolver was presented to Jordan in 1975 to commemorate his top ten finish in the American Handgunner Year competition which he lost to Bill Ruger of Ruger Firearms fame. With a set of Jordan's signature Pachmayr grips as well as a wooden case with a brass plate on the lid reading "1975/"TOP TEN"/O.A.H.A./PRESENTED BY: CHARTER ARMS/TO: BILL JORDAN".
