The included barrel set is currently incompatible and is marked "J. PURDEY, PRINCES STREET, LEICESTER SQUARE, LONDON" on top of the rib. The barrels were made by Charles Lancaster for Purdey and appear to have serial number "J86" on the bottom. A factory letter is included that notes that the "C.L." markings are for Charles Lancaster "who was well known for his very fine barrels and he made barrels for Purdey's..." The letter also notes that the Princes Street address on the barrels was Purdey's first address from 1814 to 1825. They indicate the "J86" would not be the Purdey serial number and incorrectly believed the "15" bore marking was the serial number based on the information they were provided. Other guns configured similarly to the gun itself with Purdey's external intercepting sears and the Wyatt patent grip safety date to around 1825-1830. Also included is a powder flask, a shot flask, and a copy of "Purdey's: The Guns & the Family" (Sixth Impression) by Richard Beaumont which features a few other shotguns with similar features.
