Description:

Approximately 2,500 of these carbines were manufactured by Greene Rifle Works to fulfill James Warner's second U.S. contract and delivered between February-March of 1865. "Crown/V" London proofs on the barrel and frame, "M.M" inspection initials on the buttplate tang, and letters carved on either side of the buttstock. Modern replacement rear sight.
