OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Description:

Manufactured 1911. The included factory letter lists shipment to H. & D. Folsom Arms Co. on 24 September 1915 and states an "NP" notation indicating that the pistol was originally nickel plated. The back strap is inscribed "W.F. FISHER/3RD ROYAL SUSSEX REGT.", it has British proofs, and a British style lanyard loop is added to the left. The inscription likely refers to second lieutenant Wilfred Frederick Fisher of the 3rd and 12th battalions Royal Sussex Regiment, who was listed as missing and then killed in action following a trench raid near St. Julian on 24 July 1917, prior to the Third Battle of Ypres.
