The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered in .44 Special with blue finish (barrel length and finish likely factory recording errors) and stocks not listed when shipped to Simmons Gun Specialties in Olathe, Kansas on April 22, 1981. The letter goes on to reiterate the revolver having originally been blued with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. With a Colt "woodgrain" box numbered to the gun (end label lists 5 1/2 inch barrel and nickel finish).
