1) Soviet 1929 dated shashka cavalry/cossack saber, 37 1/4" OAL, shallow wide fuller on each side of blade, Soviet military proofs and Zlatoust factory markings, spiral fluted hardwood grip, brass pommel with hammer and sickle and "C.C.C.P.", with a black enameled hardwood scabbard with brass fittings. 2) Imperial Russian 1881 Pattern Dragoon shashka, 40" OAL, 1910 dated, shallow wide fuller on each side of blade, military proofs and Zlatoust factory markings, spiral fluted hardwood grip, brass pommel and knuckle guard, leather wrapped hardwood scabbard with brass fittings including bayonet ring. Both are fine with mild wear and some aged patina and the scabbards having some moderate wear.
