Grouping consists of a boxed pair of Austrian-made shatterproof glass goggles and a large album of photos of and by a World War I German aviation unit. A note on the cover of the album attributes the pictures to the Friuli Veneto region of Northeastern Italy, and markings on some of the photos indicate the relevant unit is Flight Squadron (A)219, an artillery observer/reconnaissance unit known to have been station in Italy during the war. Photos include landscape shots (both airborne and at ground level) and pictures of military equipment including artillery and aircraft.
