Binion's accomplishments included both a life of organized crime and a life of innovation. Benny carved a spot as one of the most prominent figures in gambling history by setting new precedent on the Las Vegas strip in his "Binion's Horseshoe", forging the way with interior design choices and house practices that forced other casinos to adapt to match the Horseshoe's profitability. He was also the driving force behind creating the "World Series of Poker".
