OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 4 3/4 inch barrel chambered in .38/40 caliber, blue finish and grips not listed when shipped to A. F. Shapleigh Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri on October 12, 1899. An included letter from Eric C. Woody states that this revolver was carried by his grandfather, William Kyle, when shot a politically connected man in Ardmore, Oklahoma around 1920 and served 15 years in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary on manslaughter charges after an assassination attempt on Kyle delayed the trial. With floral tooled leather holster.
