Circa 1500-1550 (per consignor). 17" OAL, with a 12" double edged blade with a diamond cross section, reinforced tip, and gold washed decorative etching on both sides, with "ERFINDER MICH TOBLER" and "im Brühlhof in Herisau" above the ricasso. The grip is finely shaped burl walnut with brass reinforcement of the short guard and pommel. Very good.
