Soviet 1930 dated shashka cavalry/cossack saber, 37 1/4" OAL, shallow wide fuller on each side of blade, Soviet military proofs and Zlatoust factory markings, spiral fluted hardwood grip, brass pommel with hammer and sickle and "C.C.C.P.", with a black enameled hardwood scabbard with brass fittings including rings to retain the included M91/30 Mosin-Nagant bayonet, as was typical of Soviet dragoon scabbards. Very good, blade mostly bright with mild wear, attractively aged brass, minor handling marks on grip, and the scabbard showing moderate wear and some minor cracking in the finish.
