Manufactured in 1896/97 and falls within the known range of guns shipped to Takata & Co. in Japan for use by the Japanese military listed on page 105 of Supica and Nahas' "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson". With a leather holster.

Very fine, original finish with some handling evidence, holster wear, and light browning. Right grip panel chipped. Holster is very good. Mechanically excellent.
