Description:

This is a high quality Beeman/Harper Classic air rifle cane directly out of the collection of Dr. Robert D. Beeman, as manufactured circa late 1980s. These rare air canes are described on page 628 of "The Blue Book of Airguns, Thirteenth Edition" in which the book states, "Only ten of these models were imported into the U.S. under the anti-airgun cartridge law, these air canes were deemed dangerous weapons and became illegal in the U.K.! The British police gathered up and destroyed all but the few that were crossing the Atlantic at that time." The cane uses reusable Brocock patent brass air cartridges that resemble a shell casing and are able to be pumped up with air and loaded with a pellet. The cane handle can be unscrewed and detached to allow access for loading from the rear of the barrel, with a concealed folding trigger located in the brass section attached to the handle. Features a fine-groove rifled barrel surrounded by hardwood. Includes a hardwood case, manual (printed December 1988), 8 Brocock patent brass air cartridges, extra rubber O-rings for the cartridges, .25 caliber pellets, a removable peep sight, circular brass collection tag marked "R.D. BEEMAN/PRIVATE/COLLECTION/649" and an air pump. Provenance: The Dr. Robert D. Beeman Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, with a few minor handling marks in the wood. Mechanically excellent. The included case is very fine.
