Description:

Frame manufactured in 1874. The factory letter indicates the return for refurbishment and shipment to the U.S. Government, Springfield Armory on July 15, 1901 as part of a 150 gun shipment. "U.S." marked left of frame. Mixed numbered components as factory rebuilt. Faint "1901" date above a crossed out cartouche on the left side of the grip. "Kill" notches carved on both sides of the grip. Includes modern fitted hardwood case. Provenance: Richard Peters, USMC, Reserves Law Enforcement, a Gentleman

Rating Definition:

Good overall as factory refurbished, with scattered light pitting, and a few small chipped sections in the grip. No third click, cylinder slightly out of time. Case is very fine.
