KENDALL/WINDSOR VT./PATENT" and the serial number is stamped on the bottom of the barrel and top of the buttplate tang. The rifle has an underhammer action with a 5-round iron breech block. The chamber is manually operated by first cocking the hammer and then depressing a lever on top of the frame. There is a plug screw on the buttplate that exposes a trap containing five spare percussion nipples and a mainspring. Absent ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Good, with natural age darkened patina, scattered light to mild pitting, and visible barrel markings. Mechanically fine.
