Description:

The knob shaped grip of this cane is a combination of antique ivory and hardwood and has a small silver escutcheon on top inscribed "John Harlt/1840". The hardwood portion is multi-faceted and is inlaid with silver and pearl shapes including triangles, stars, crescents, shields, hearts, and diamonds. There is a small silver band at the bottom of the grip with floral motifs. The smooth shaft appears to be ebony, has a lanyard hole with silver shield escutcheons, a lanyard, and is tipped with iron and German silver. 35 1/4" OAL.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with some minor age cracks in the ivory, attractively aged silver, and otherwise light wear overall.
