Barrel marked "H.D. ZIEGLER P.O." for gunsmith Henry David Ziegler (1820-1896) of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Rating Definition:

Very good with dark patina and an applied dark brown over the barrel, moderate pitting from corrosive caps at the breech, chipped hammer, and general moderate overall wear. The stock is good with some cracks, chips, and repairs. Mechanically fine (set trigger first).
