Description:

Manufactured in 1965. Left side of the action inlaid with "Joe Foss" in silver script. Joseph Jacob Foss was an American Marine Corp pilot and the most successful American ace of World War II and received the Medal of Honor for his exploits before going on to serve as a Brigadier General in the Air National Guard, Governor of South Dakota, as well as being the President of the NRA. Another gun attributed to Foss is available in the previous lot. Chambers marked 2 3/4", choke marked modified/full, and 14 1/2" LOP.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, original finish with minor handling evidence. The wood has a few scratches and some crazing in the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
