Description:

The consignor stated: "This Colt 1876 Model was sold to the U.S. Cavalry in August 22, 1876, at the cost of $13.00. It was acquired on the Zuni Reservation in 1920. This gun had been captured some time in the 1880s." Matching numbers are faintly visible on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap.

Rating Definition:

Fair as period modified with mostly silver-gray patina, some light brown patina, mild oxidation, and general moderate to heavy overall wear. Mechanically fine.
