Manufactured in 1898. 20th century Winchester factory oval proofs on barrel and receiver. Factory letter states serial number was applied on November 17, 1898 and the rifle was received in the warehouse on January 6, 1899 and shipped on April 5, 1899 with an octagon barrel in .32-40 caliber and plain trigger.

Very good with some original finish mostly on the barrel, otherwise a brown patina, chip at the upper tang, handling marks on wood. Mechanically excellent.
