Description:

"W/7-17" dated barrel. This rifle is listed by serial number on page 83, table 2, of "United States Rifle Model of 1917" by C.S. Ferris, showing it was manufactured with a July 1917 production barrel and September 1917 production receiver. The receiver was serialized on September 12, 1917, as detailed on page 79, table 1.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished overall, with minor edge wear, brown patina, limited spotting/pitting, dried grease, and mild handling evidence. Stock is also fine as sanded and re-oiled with defined grasping grooves. Mechanically excellent.
