This automatic carbine was remanufactured/produced by Rock Island Armory Incorporated of Geneseo, Illinois, mostly using military surplus components. The receiver is Saginaw Steering Gear, originally an M1 with an overstruck "2" on the receiver ring. Unmarked blade front and adjustable rear sights, with a Saginaw barrel ("RIA" mark added to right side of chamber), "U" M3 cone flash hider, Type III barrel band, flip safety, "M" magazine catch, low wood stock with Standard Products stamping on the left, "O-RMC" 4-rivet handguard, cast trigger housing with no legible markings, flat top "U" bolt, and 30-round magazine. Includes three extra 15-round magazines, a 1943 dated U.S. tan canvas double magazine pouch, olive drab green canvas web sling and oiler.

Very good as remanufactured/refinished, with extensive moderate pitting visible underneath the finish. Stock is fine with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
