Description:

Manufactured in 1942 in the first Winchester production block, serial range 1000000-1349999. Undated "W" marked Winchester barrel, high wood stock with boxed "RIA/EB" rebuild cartouche stamped on the left wrist, faded boxed "WRA/GHD" and crossed cannons cartouche on the right, unmarked two-rivet handguard, self-contained operating rod spring, illegible markings on right of trigger housing with "R" on the bottom, "W" hammer, checkered push button safety, "W" magazine catch, "W" blued flat top bolt, "W" operating rod, L-flip rear sight, and type I barrel band. Fitted with a tan canvas web sling and oiler, and includes a green canvas U.S. carbine carry case.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, subsequently restored back to World War II configuration, with some areas of scattered light freckling and brown patina. Sanded and re-oiled stock is fine with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
