A) U.S. Remington Arms Model 03-A3 Bolt Action Rifle

Description:

Manufactured in 1943. "RA/flaming bomb/9-43" marked barrel, "R" marked upper band, bolt, and front sight base fitted with commercial Redfield marked blade, and "K" marked 'C' stock.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with minor edge wear, thinning revealing mostly brown patina, scattered minor spotting, limited pitting on the buttplate, and mild handling wear. The trigger is modified. The period replacement stock is also very fine with limited scuffs and attractive period oil finish. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver from the first production block (between serial numbers 101 and 999,000) manufactured from May 1942 to December 1943. "3-43" marked Underwood barrel, "C" type 3 barrel band, and M2 'pot-belly' stock with "AN" (Anniston Army Depot) and "A A Q" (Augusta Arsenal) rebuild marks.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with minor pitting on the slide and buttplate, minor edge wear, some brown patina/minor spotting, dried grease, and mild handling marks. Stock is also fine as sanded and re-oiled. Mechanically excellent.
