Manufactured by Ansonia Clock Co. of New York, the dial of this desirable wall clock features advertisement for Winchester Repeating Arms Co. Clocks like this would have been sent out to various gun shops and Winchester dealers to be hung in shops for promotion. The dial is prominently marked at the center with promotional phrasing, encouraging customers to "Ask for Winchester guns and cartridges made for all kinds of shooting." The consignor states that the clock functions properly when hung properly and wound regularly.

Rating Definition:

Fine, the face shows distinct color and image with some scattered minor staining and slight fading. The wood is also fine with some scattered minor handling marks and scattered crazing of the varnish. Mechanically untested.
