A) U.S. Marked Winchester Model 12 Slide Action Shotgun

Description:

Manufactured in 1943. "U.S." and flaming bomb marked on right of receiver, boxed "G.H.D." above crossed cannons cartouche stamp on left of buttstock. Replacement blued barrel. Full choke "P" inspected military replacement barrel, 2 3/4 chamber and a 14" LOP.

Rating Definition:

Fine with a replacement barrel and original finish on the receiver assembly and magazine tube, and scattered light freckling, corrosion and scratches. Wood is also fine with a chipped lower section of the buttplate, scattered scratches and handling marks, and defined stamps. Mechanically excellent.

Receiver manufactured c. 1943-1944. "SA 4 51" marked Springfield barrel, replacement M2 "pot belly" stock. Fitted with a green canvas web sling and oiler. Absent magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall as arsenal refurbished, with a few light handling marks and scratches, and one small chip on the top left rear of the handguard. Mechanically excellent.
