Receiver manufactured November 1940. "S-A 12-40" barrel, "-2SA" bolt, "-1-SA" trigger guard, replacement "-14-SA" trigger housing, replacement "-7 SA" hammer, replacement "9 SA" operating rod and spring assembly, replacement unmarked gas cylinder with cross slot gas plug, boxed "S.A./G.H.S." and large crossed cannons cartouches stamped on the left of the stock wrist. Fitted with a tan canvas web sling.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, subsequently assembled back to World War II configuration, with a few small patches of light pitting visible underneath the finish. Stock is fine with scattered scratches and dents, and defined edges. Mechanically excellent.
