Description:

Manufactured in 1944. "4-44" dated Inland barrel, "SA" stamped on butt of pistol grip as well as on the barrel band, flat top parkerized bolt, L-flip rear sight (correct for this serial range), replacement type III barrel band with byaonet lug. Reference Inland M1A1 section of the book "M1 Carbine" by R.C. Larson (no page numbers in book) for related information. Includes a tan canvas U.S. carbine carrying case, tan canvas U.S. double magazine pouch, and two extra magazines.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with some light pitting visible underneath the finish, and smooth brown patina on the buttstock components. Stock is also fine with some scattered scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent. Case is fine.
