Description:

Manufactured in 1973 per included consignor data sheet. According to Lee Emerson's "M14 Rifle History and Development", A.R. Sales was a California Company, the Mark IV was an early competitor of the Springfield Armory Inc. M1a, with a total of 225 Mark IV's reportedly manufactured. All parts except for the receivers were surplus USGI. Features a standard profile "NM" and "SAK" marked barrel dated "11-72", along with "NM" marked front and rear sight assemblies. Also includes a web sling.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining original finish with minor edge wear on the gas plug, but otherwise limited handling evidence. The USGI stock is very fine as sanded with limited minor dents and attractive fiddle-back grain. Mechanically excellent.
