A) British Lend Lease Springfield M1 Garand Rifle

Description:

Manufactured August 1941. "S-A 8-41" marked barrel with British proofs, and faint evidence of red paint visible on the forearm, known to have been on rifles supplied to Great Britain as part of the Lend-Lease Program as a way to identify them as chambered in the American .30-06 Springfield cartridge. "-2SA" bolt, "3 SA" operating rod (unmodified), blade front and peep rear sights with a protective cover on the set screw of the former and a set of early pattern adjustment drums ("BATTLE RANGE" windage and "LEFT/LEFT" elevation with closed arrows and lockbar) on the latter, "-1-SA" trigger housing, "-2 SA" hammer, "-6SA" safety, winged hammer plunger, with boxed "S.A./GHS" and crossed cannons cartouche on the left wrist.

Rating Definition:

Fine with original finish, fingerprints visible on left side and rear of receiver (chemical?), with a few areas showing slightly differing hues, some patches of light freckling, and some light scratches. Stock is very good with modified added finger grooves on the sides, some dings and scratches, and clear stamps. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Manufactured c. 1943-1944. Undated Rock-Ola barrel, Boxed "RMC" and crossed cannons cartouche stamped on the right of the high wood stock, "RMC" on the interior of the handguard and in the sling inlet, Rock-Ola bolt, recoil plate, operating rod and trigger housing, with "R" hand carved on the right of the stock.

Rating Definition:

Very good with original finish, scattered patches of corrosion and light pitting. Re-oiled stock is also very good with some scattered dings and scratches, and clear stamps. Mechanically excellent.
