A) U.S. International Business Machines Corp. M1 Carbine

Description:

"I.B.M. CORP." marked barrel, "KV-B" marked type 1 barrel band, "ordnance wheel" proofed stock with "Lou" carved under the pistol grip and "1051" stamped into the forend.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with scattered minor spotting/brown patina, minor edge wear, limited pitting, and scattered minor handling marks. Stock is fine with light dents and scrapes. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Early production from the first production block between serial numbers 1,350,000 and 1,449, 999 manufactured from November 1942 to July 1943. Underwood "4-43" dated barrel, "U" marked 'dog leg' hammer, "U" magazine release, "U" blued bolt, "U" slide, and "ordnance bomb" on the bottom of the trigger housing. "M-U" and boxed "UEF/GHD" marked "I" cut high-wood stock with replacement "IO" marked two-rivet handguard.

Rating Definition:

Good, with traces of original finish, "battle field" reworked, with a bent replacement front sight, cut marks in the barrel near the muzzle, light freckling, scattered minor spotting/brown patina, thinning, and mild handling wear. Stock is very good with numerous scattered light scuffs and a small crack at the tang. Mechanically excellent.
