A) Custer Era U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1873 Trapdoor Saddle Ring Carbine

Bore Condition: The bore is frosted with some light pitting/oxidation and distinct rifling.
Description:

Manufactured 1875. Some of these Model 1873 carbines are known to have been used in the Battle of Little Bighorn in June 1876, although not all their serial numbers are verified. Left mounted saddle bar and ring, correct stock with short 9 inch comb, circled script "P" firing proof stamped behind the lower tang, and faint oval cartouche on the left of the wrist.

Rating Definition:

Fair, with a mix of grey and brown patina, some patches of mild pitting, and the well worn wood having a few small repairs, hairline cracks, and scattered chips/dings. Mechanically fine.
