Bore Condition: The relined bore is bright and has sharp rifling.
Description:

Only an estimated 230 Long Range Rifles were manufactured from 1877 to 1880. The left panel has a "W/Whitmarsh./1905" (possibly 1906) inscription. Matching partial serial numbers on the wedge and forearm ("74") and matching full serial number on the barrel and action.

Rating Definition:

Fine with a refinished and relined barrel, faint original case colors, aged tones on the panels, replacement peep sight, refinished wood with crisp checkering and dings and scratches, and generally mild wear. Mechanically fine.
