Very good as refinished, with smooth brown and gray patina on the balance, and some scattered light freckling. Stock is also very good as re-oiled, with a crack in the handguard, and a chipped absent section visible at the right rear of the handguard. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in 1899. Boxed script "JSA/1899" cartouche stamped on the left wrist of the stock, with a circled script "P" proof on bottom. Includes a brown leather sling and metal muzzle cover.
