Description:

The factory letter lists this rifle as a Model 1874 Sporting Rifle invoiced to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham of New York City on September 27, 1875, and indicates the order book lists the rifle in .44 caliber with a 30 inch octagonal barrel, single trigger, globe and peep sights, oil finished wood, and 9 1/2 lbs. Additional consignor notes indicate it is in .44-77 and came from Livingston, Montana, in the 1920s. Matching numbered barrel, forearm, and frame. Rating Definition:

Very good with original finish, dark patina, mild pitting, some cracks and chips on the wood, staining, and moderate wear. Mechanically fine.
