Bore Condition: The bore is dark with pitting/oxidation and very faint rifling.
Description:

"Crown" and "TOWER/1862" marked lock, faint proofs on upper left of barrel, "R.J. MORRIS" stamped on right of stock. Many listings for an R.J. Morris come up on both sides of the Civil War.

Rating Definition:

Fair, with mostly dark patina, mild pitting particularly near the breech, and the well-worn wood having a few hairline cracks, some minor chips and handling marks. Mechanically fine.
