A) American Half-Stock Smoothbored Long Rifle

Illegible signature on top of the barrel (possibly "RIDDLE"), illegible marking on the lock.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished, with brown patina, pitting and wear. Stock is also good as sanded and re-oiled, with scattered dents and scratches, a few cracks, and an absent section to the right of the barrel tang. Lock does not remain cocked, mechanically needs work.
