Description:

"MILLBURY./1814" marked at the center of the lock, "1814" dated breech of the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished, with brown and gray patina, scattered pitting and wear. The front trigger guard tang is slightly bowed away from the stock. Stock is good as sanded and re-oiled, with numerous scattered dents, scratches, some small holes, and a few cracks and chips. Absent sling swivels. Mechanically fine.

Description:

"HARPERS/FERRY/1815" marked vertically at the tail of the lock with the Federal eagle at the center. "OHIO" marked ahead of the sunken oval proofs at the upper left breech of the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Fair as refinished, shortened, with brown patina, scattered pitting and wear. Stock is also fair as shortened, sanded and re-oiled, with numerous scattered dents, scratches, scuffs, chips and cracks, with a broken front barrel band retaining spring. Absent top jaw and jaw screw, non-functional with no spring pressure, mechanically needs work.
