Bore Condition: The bore is darkened with some light pitting/oxidation and visible rifling.
Description:

Manufactured in the early to mid-1800s, incorporating Thomas Pennell’s British Patent no. 1038 of April 29, 1853, this rare British revolver is believed to be one of around twelve Pennell patent revolvers thought to survive. The revolver was retailed by Rowntree of Penrith in the northern English county of Cumbria. It has floral scroll engraving, Rowntree retailer mark on top of the barrel, portions of the loading lever and belt hook are absent. For further reading see A.W.F. Taylerson, R.A.N. Andrews and J. Rating Definition:

Fine, retains some of the original finish, some light pitting, scattered minor dings, crisp engraving, and a large sliver absent from the grip that has minor handling marks. Loading lever and belt hook components absent. Mechanically excellent.
