Large silver inlaid calligraphic markings along the barrel and smaller markings inscribed at the breech. Matchlocks of this style were used in Japan from the 16th century into the mid-19th century and remain in use today in ceremonial/exhibition roles.

Good with dark brown patina, aged patina on the brass mounts, repairs cracks in the stock, and minor wear. Mechanically fine.
