Much as the Borchardt was a predecessor for the more famous Luger pistol, the Borchardt's stock was the forerunner for the later Luger Artillery/Navy stock arrangement, with a thin but rugged board serving as both the stock and a mounting point for a leather holster, in contrast to the larger and more fragile Mauser arrangement. The mounting hardware is blued steel, with a ribbed thumbscrew for tightening the stock onto the lug, a Lyman-style flip up short range peep sight on the wrist, and the serial number "657" on the right rear. Good overall, with some pinholes in the right side of the wrist, light areas in the spots that would be covered by the (not included) cheekpiece and holster straps, and some dents and scuffs overall.
