Bore Condition: the bore is shiny with strong rifling and streaking.
Description:

"FJA" (Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspection mark on the 1943 production frame, correct type 3 roll-marked slide, correct "HS" (High Standard) marked barrel lug, correct Keyes Fibre Co. grips, and a "G" marked magazine. Includes a matching U.S. DD Form 1149-3 shipping invoice addressed from the U.S. Benicia Arsenal, dated March 29, 1961, and an unnumbered craft style box.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining original parkerized finish on the frame with a refinished barrel, a minor casting flaw in the front strap, light edge wear, brown patina showing mostly on the grip straps, minor spotting, and light handling marks. The grips are also very fine with a few minor handling marks and defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
