A) U.S. Saginaw S'G' M1 Carbine

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, from the "B" range of the first production block (serial numbers 1,798,000 to 1,875,039) manufactured by the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors, Grand Rapids, from July to September 1943. "9-43" dated Underwood barrel, replacement "SI" marked type III barrel band, "I.R.CO." type III adjustable peep rear sight, "SG" type III operating rod, "IO" parkerized flat top bolt, and an Inland milled trigger housing with "C/M" rotary safety, "WA" type IV magazine catch, and "U" type III hammer. Fitted with a low-wood walnut stock marked with "LW-B" in the sling channel, "STD/PROD/RWH" on the left, along with a partly visible "ordnance wheel" stamp on the right of the butt, an "IO" two-rivet handguard, and a blued "IA" magazine. Includes a web sling and metal oiler. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with most of the finish, some minor edge wear, some light spotting mostly on the buttplate, and light handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled with some scattered minor dents. Mechanically excellent.

Fitted with a high-wood walnut stock marked with "RSG" in the sling channel along with "ordnance wheel" and boxed "S'G'" inspection stamps on the right of the butt, a "RSG" deep groove two-rivet handguard, and a blued "SEY" magazine. Includes a web sling and metal oiler. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and mostly assembled back to World War II configuration, with much of the finish, some minor edge wear, softened receiver markings, some scattered minor patches of freckling/brown patina visible, and minor handling marks. The stock is very fine as re-oiled with some scattered minor scrapes and some light mildew marks on the butt. Mechanically excellent.
