A) U.S. Eddystone Model 1917 Rifle

Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some minor streaking.
Description:

"Eagle head" proofed receiver manufactured in 1918, "E/flaming bomb/9-18" marked barrel, "E" marked and "eagle head" proofed safety, "E" bolt assembly, "W" front sight, along with "E" rear sight and upper band. Stock marked with boxed "S.A.A." (San Antonio Arsenal) and "E" rebuild stamps on the left. Includes a M1 pattern web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with some edge wear and brown patina showing on the butt, some minor cycling wear, slight discoloration on the receiver, and minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled with some minor dents and compression marks. Mechanically excellent.

Receiver manufactured in 1943, "RA/flaming bomb/9-43" marked barrel, arsenal replacement bolt assembly, and "R" marked upper band and front sight. Fitted with a "K" marked 'scant' profile World War II era Keystone replacement stock. Includes a khaki M1 pattern web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, as arsenal refurbished, with an absent front sight base pin, minor edge wear, some minor patches of spotting/corrosion visible, and some minor handling marks. The replacement stock is also very fine as modified on the right side for a receiver mounted micrometer rear sight, with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
