Description:

1953 production receiver, with "O-65" (1965) U.S. Marine Corps mark electro-stenciled behind the rear sight base. "SA" marked and "8 53" dated barrel with parkerized chamber, "-12SA/W9B" marked bolt, relief-cut curved side "9 SA" operating rod, and "HRA N" trigger housing with "-2 SA" hammer, "F" safety, and unmarked milled trigger guard. Fitted with a replacement birch stock set. Matching partial "966" serial numbers written onto the trigger housing, stock, and operating rod.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains nearly all of the arsenal finish, with some limited minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, and minor handling marks. The replacement stock is also very fine. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, from the first production block (serial number range 1,350,000 to 1,449,999) manufactured by Underwood Elliot-Fisher from November 1942 to July 1943. "12-43" dated Underwood barrel, "SI" marked type III barrel band, "shield/H" type II adjustable peep rear sight, "U" and "heart/F" marked type I operating rod, "S2" parkerized flat-top bolt, and a "BE-B" fabricated trigger housing with "J.A.O." type IV flip safety, "E.I." type IV magazine catch and "I-I" type III hammer. Fitted with a low-wood walnut stock marked with "U" on the left and with "ordnance wheel" and "W.R.A./G.H.D." cartouches on the right of the buttstock along with "33" and "12" stamps, an unmarked four-rivet handguard, and "UQ" blued magazine. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with scattered minor patches of spotting/brown patina visible, light cycling wear, some pitting on the magazine and trigger guard, and some mild handling marks. The stock is also fine as modified with partial practice checkering pattern carved into the right of the butt and some minor dents, along with crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent.
