A) U.S. International Harvester Corp. M1 Garand Rifle with Bayonet

Description:

1954 production receiver, "LMR" marked and "3 54" dated barrel with bright chamber ring, "IHC/D19" bolt, "IHC" operating rod, and "IHC" trigger housing with "IHC" hammer and "F" safety. Fitted with walnut handguards and stock with faint "DoD eagle" inspection stamp on the left of the wrist. Includes a M1 pattern web sling, a "U. C." (Utica Cutlery Co.) marked M1 bayonet, and M1 scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining most of the original finish with some light edge wear, minor cycling wear, some limited minor patches of spotting/brown patina visible, and scattered minor handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is very fine.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in early 1944, from the second production block (serial number range 5,549,922 to 5,834,618) manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. from December 1943 to November 1944, with Inland's serial production running into this range as well. "W" marked and "WP" proofed Winchester barrel, unmarked type I barrel band, "S" marked flip peep rear sight, "W" type II operating rod, "W" blued flat-top bolt, and "W" milled trigger housing with ""E.W."" push button safety, "W" type III magazine catch, and "W" type III hammer. Fitted with a walnut high-wood stock marked "W" in the sling channel along with "W.R.A./G.H.D." (Winchester Repeating Arms, Lt. Col. Guy H. Drewry) and "ordnance wheel" stamps on the right of the butt, a "M" marked two-rivet handguard, and a blued "AI" magazine. Includes a canvas sling, metal oiler, "H&LCo./43" marked dual cell web magazine pouch, and a "GOSS CANVAS PRODUCTS/1943" web M1 carbine carry case marked "Lt. Berentson/1019297" on the exterior in pen. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently assembled back into World War II configuration, retaining most of the finish with plum coloration on the receiver, dried grease, minor cycling wear, some minor edge wear, and minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled with some chips at the oiler cutout. Mechanically excellent. The carry case is fine.
