Manufactured c. mid-19th century. "WD" inscribed silver wrist escutcheon. The case has "W. Dawson/1874." inscribed on the lid escutcheon, green baize lining, mold, flask, and other accessories.

Fine with distinct engraving and markings, some original finish, gray and brown patina, crisp checkering, and mild wear. The bayonet does not lock in place when released, but the pistol is otherwise mechanically fine. The case and accessories are very good with mild wear and absent keyhole escutcheon.
